Saint Beer’nard

Free choice regarding the choice of project, it therefore focused on a recent brewery.

Basically I wanted to find a mascot that would quickly speak to everyone when they saw it.

My choice therefore fell on the Saint Bernard, this legendary dog who comes to the aid of victims of mountain accidents.

This icon ticks all the boxes since the brewery is located on the French-Swiss border (Goumois) in relation to its origin, but also because of the values that I wanted the beers to transmit, namely fraternity, sharing and well heard the good humor!

Concerning the name, the play on words with beer was obvious.
On the other hand, I had to choose between several variants: St Beer'n'hard;Saint Beer&hard and finally St Beer'nard.

They could have been selected if there would have been hard rock for the festival, for example, but that was not planned. and finally the last version retained.

Having taken inspiration from many beer/brewery brands, I chose a font that fits well with the world of beer and chose black for the serious side of the brewery.

The yellow color is often present because it goes hand in hand with beer.

Regarding Léon (the mascot), I assigned him the colors black, orange, brown and yellow respectively for seriousness, pleasure moment/triple beer, amber beer, and lager.

I deliberately made him a big tongue so that he would have a fun side, but also for the aspect of thirst, taste (the tongue is an organ that reveals the senses), and finally because these dogs often have their tongues out.

Léon's gaze is to the upper right:

this connotes the notion of future and sustainability, he has in mind the mountain, his original terrain.

The mountain is not always present for technical design reasons (often due to lack of space).
